There are lots of reasons to consider private instruction:

• Ability to learn at your own pace with 1:1 or small group lessons.
• Can choose a date and time that’s convenient for you.
• Allows you and the instructor to customize a lesson to suit your needs.

Any of our standard classes can be taken as a private lesson. If you’re looking for something not offered in the regular classes, we can also customize a lesson for you.

Rates for private instruction begin at $45/hour depending on location and type of instruction. Allow at least 4 hours for a standard class for one person, longer for larger groups. Contact us for an exact quote.

Private instruction is also available at the pool on Thursday nights for $90 per 90-minute session. With a private pool lesson, you can not only get 1:1 roll instruction, but you can also choose to work on bracing, sculling, rescues, and other skills to help you sit a boat more comfortably.
